Day 8: My Mom's Wish

Guest blogger:  MomJust imagine that the Almighty Allah, the creator of the heavens and the earth, the all knowing, the most merciful, the most beneficent, is always there for us. He says He is very close to us and He hears us. He wants us to call upon Him, to remember Him, to abide by His rules and to do good, and to trust Him to take care of us.  He loves those who pray to him, and turn to Him in their hour of need.  " Oh my Lord, I have never returned empty handed when I prayed to thee."   This is the translation of a prayer recited by Prophet Zakaria; such beautiful words.  When we pray we should have a clean conscience, and complete faith in Him. We must always begin by praising Him, and expressing our gratitude for all His blessings, acknowledge His oneness, His might, and His authority over all things big and small.  We must be patient and thankful for every outcome.

Whatever plan Allah has for us is for a good reason, though it may not be apparent to us at the time. His bounty knows no bounds.  He has blessed us with this month of Ramadan in which the more we pray, the more rewards we collect. Every act of kindness or good deed we do is multiplied manyfold.  This is like getting a bonus.  May Allah grant us all the capacity to do much good.  Ameen.  I pray for all my children , and a special one for Saanya my sweetheart, to make the college process easy for her, and to grant her her wish. Ameen.
