30 DAYS JOURNAL
A handmade book to keep your cherished memories on gratitude, traditions, wisdoms, and more.
“Storyseeker” - someone who gently captures the myriad of memories that make our life meaningful. - SHA
It has been a privilege to hear the personal stories that many of you have shared, inspired by the book, 30 Days: Stories of Gratitude, Traditions, and Wisdom. As I had hoped, the book has become a starting point for people to think about their own stories.
We all have stories inside us that we cherish; we want to share the most meaningful parts of ourselves, if given a chance to be heard; sharing our stories helps us connect more deeply with one another. Our stories are the most precious things we have.
This journal is an invitation for us to reflect on our stories and to write them down. Inspired by the themes in the 30 Days book, there are six sections - gratitude, traditions, wisdoms, inspiration, kindness, and reflections – with
prompts to encourage ideas, graceful artwork by dear friend and extraordinary artist Aadil Abedi to encourage reflection, and Rumi's poetry for inspiration. (Plus a special gift!)
I encourage you to take the 30 days of Ramadan, whether you celebrate or not, to answer one prompt each day. At the end of 30 days, you’ll have your own treasure trove of stories. If you feel comfortable, please take a photo of a page or two and send them to me (salma@salmahasanali.com); I’d love to get to know you better.
There is nothing more precious, more uniquely ours, than our stories; it’s what makes us who we are. I hope you’ll take a few moments each day to give this gift to yourself - and to your family and future generations.
Because each one of us is mortal, but our stories will endure.
