Day 7: College

Guest blogger:  Saanya This is the summer between my Junior and Senior years. Application summer. With the stress of supplements and the crying over the Common App, the past few days since my mom and I got back from India have been plagued by essays and Starbucks runs. When we landed in India the heat hit us like a wall; when we landed at Dulles, it was reality that was the wall.

I'm scared. Everything is moving so fast. College used to seem like this distant idea that would happen eventually, but now it's here. But I'm also excited. So excited.

But first I have to get there. Every night as I lie in bed, I pray. I pray to God to let this application process go smoothly and to let me get into one of my top five choices. I pray. I pray that my SAT scores are good enough and that my GPA holds up through first semester Senior year. I pray. I pray so hard that all of the late nights and meltdowns pay off and that this idea that I have of 'college' lives up to the reality.
