Luby Ismail orders fresh organic produce from the Hungry Harvest, which gathers fruits and veggies that would otherwise be wasted because they don't look quite 'right'. This week she had too much kale, spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes - more than her husband Alexander Kronemer could possibly use for his famous quiches. So she donated lots of extras to KindWorks' 'HarvestShare' project. I picked it up, Zayd dropped it off at our Bethesda collection point, where a KindWorks' volunteer drove it to Gaithersburg HELP, Inc. where it was shared with those in need - all in a day. And that my friends, is what makes the world go round.
