Day 12: Forgiveness
Guest Blogger: My brother and my Babbas
My brother is a coach in every sense of the word. A mentor; a supporter; a guide; a listener. He's been filling that role for me all my life, and is still my go-to for balance and perspective. He and Mona are raising two amazing boys - my Babbas. Not only is Bubs their coach in life, but their coach on the field, leading them to incredible victories on the baseball diamond while guiding them to win life's most important lessons -- to be patient, to never give up, to have faith. I love them so much, and pray for their happiness always.
Here's their dua:"I asked the boys to do a dua and they asked Allah for forgiveness of their sins. This dua, if said every day during the month of Ramadan, will forgive sins of forty years:
allahumma rabba shahri ramazan alladhy anzalta fihi alqur’ana waftaradta `ala`ibadika fihi alssiyama urzuqny hajj baytika alharami fi hadha al`aami wa fi kulli `amin waghfir liya aldhdhunuba al izama fa’innahula yaghfiruha ghayruka ya dhaljali wal-ikram
O Allah: the Lord of the month of Ramadan, In which You revealed the Qur'an, And You imposed fasting on Your servants: Please confer upon me with the pilgrimage to Your Holy House, In this year and every year, And forgive my serious sins, For none can forgive them save You O the Lord of majesty and honor.
Now the boys think they're good for 40 years to come, even though they're only 8 and 10!"
